  • Unable to search for short car models

I have an E36 BMW 325is. As it is now, I can only search for 325is. It appears three character search terms are too short for the search engine. It seems to me that there are a lot of very distinct 3 characters terms in the auto world and the site (or at least me) would benefit from being able to search for them.

Any idea how/if/when this could be implemented?

As always, I love this site.

short answer though this is a configuration setting for the database/forum - Usually there's a minimum length word setup (default is 4), so it just needs to be dialed down to 3 and your search for "E36" will come up.
