Low'n Slow Peugeot 307

Hi guys,

As I don't consider my car worthy enough for the main forum of S | W, I'll post a build thread on here until it looks how I want to :)

So, it all started with a normal Peugeot 307 I got almost 3 years ago which was looking like this:

and it stayed like that for more than 1 year.

Then I bought some wheels 17x7.5J which I painted the center in color of the car with silver lip and fitted 215/45/17 tires on them (I know, not wide enough and too much rubber)

Wheels, refurbish and 4 brand new tires put a big hole in my pocket, so I had to wait for few months to fit them on the car until I could afford the coilovers. Not having too many options on the coils, I chose V-Maxx's with 20-70 mm drop. Later it turned out they were not going low enough for my taste :) Put them on so the car sitting like this:

At that time I was pretty happy with the exterior so I purchased some small bits for the interior: armrest, Sparco pedals and footrest, Peugeot sport gear knob and Peugeot protections for sills.

And this completes the first stage of modifications

I then decided I needed a smoother look of the car. So the bumpers were shaved, the Peugeot sign was removed, an exhaust tip was fitted and the rear bumper was cut and modeled for the new exhaust (big thanks for all of these to Mihai @ Ghetto Tuning)

I liked the Joye mod headlights so I decided I want the same for mine's. But the guy that did the operation fucked up the headlights and they were sweating inside like crazy when it was raining + not being able to fit them as they should so my front bumper never aligned with them.

I also maxed out the coils up front and removed the rear adjusters on the back.

Then I decided I didn't like the color of the wheels so I painted them copper.

Plans for this year:

- get the front to sit lower. Here's where I'd need some advise. Should I remove the helper springs or get shorter springs? I've been quoted 160 euros for shorter and stiffer springs by a Belgian company
- new headlights
- eliminate the place for the number plate on the front bumper
- CupraR lip
- fit the roof spoiler I already have
- roof bars
- de-wiper
- de-badge the rear
- and last but not the least, get some wider staggered wheels with some stretched tires. I'd love to fit some Alphards 8.5 / 9.5J with adaptors.

Car is getting into shop next month to have the bumpers re-done and a bit more cleaning of the back side, then some serious lower and spacers for the current wheels until I raise enough money to buy the ones I want.

Plans for this year are to fit the Futura's (they're 5x112 while the car is 4x108), go lower on front and other small bits and bobs.

Thanks man. Not much going on, still winter here. I have to do some maintenance, rear rotors and brake pads, filters, oil, etc. Then I have to source some 205/40/18 for the Futura's which seems to be a bit hard to find, then adapters and so on. I hope to put them on in April or May at least.

i remember seeing this car last year, when u used to have the old gold rims on it, it was parked down the street, then i go out for the country and come back 1 year later, and i´ve seen it in the Billa parking lot with the new rims...i even approach next to it and touch the rear fenders with my fingers to see what is your cleareance... :), but be chill, i didn´t do anything to it... it is a nice and clean ride, you don´t see this things very often in Romania...

your car is done with soo much taste for automobile... , btw, we are neibourghs in the same hood... :D

I quite like the front, the only offputting thing is where the license plate should be. I think it wants to be completely smooth and not recessed for something that isn't there. I think then it would look much better.

Thanks LouisW. I agree it looks better without the license plate but the law here is forcing me to have the front license plate on. I can lose the car's certificate if I drive without.

Love how this sits on the Futura's, gold centres work really well with the colour!

I think what would look better was if the recesses of the bumper was extended all the way across above the grill. It would then look less like a pokemon IMHO. Like it though, especially the colour.

- removed the rear wiper
- re-did the front bumper (now it sits flush with the hood)
- bought carbon rings and new screws for the Futura's
- full respray in the same color
- sprayed the front grill and lip in gloss black

Headlights are OEM, you can buy them just like the regular ones but ask for those with black interior. If you can wait one more month or two, I'll retrofit these with Morimoto bi-xenon projectors. If you like them I have the possibility to do a set for you and send it over.

Not sure exactly but there were no adjusters in the back and no comfort springs in the back. I would say 80mm in the front and 90mm in the back.

Deffo coils mate. These things have way too much wheel gap to close it with just lowering springs.

I really like the color. You should also take out the rear wiper. It makes the back look cleaner :)

I was going to remove the wiper but the rear for some reason gets covered in dirt where I can see out the rear window, I want rid but for safety I think I'll keep it for winter coming.

I'm getting the front and rear smoothed over the bits on the bumper then some some new wheels I think but little steps for me :)

I got the same pug at home, was thinking about lowering it and fit 8 and 9" wide style 32s, which i already got but i def need to add rear camber but im not sure how it could be done, was thinking maybe You could help me out? :)

Thanks for the appreciation toomash. I haven't cambered my but it's pretty easy; just use some shims. You'll get enough tutorials on the internet on how to do it.

This is a great build, but stickerbombing on the interior is kinda meh IMO. Any updates on how it's doing? I've seen some cool 307s on this page (https://pro-essay-writer.com/blog/apa-style-format) and I've been thinking about getting one myself.
