To VR or not to VR.. that is the question!

Right so im at that stage where im considering a VR6 engine conversion for my MK1 Golf/Rabbit.. Are there any build thread floating about on the net that may help me?? Any help would be great..!!

there is a kit out there that is around 800-1000 that you need to do the conversion. its alot of work thats for sure.

if I may offer my 2c:

if you are trying to go REAL FAST this is the wrong chassis/engine combo.
if you must, put ITBs and standalone on a cammed 2.9 12v or something so we can all be interested. without the turbo you won't win the dyno comp but your car will definately be special. it will sound radical too.

Vortex will have what you need. Nothing but swaps around here most times. Why don't you go to a junk yard? It would be tons cheaper and you can rebuild it for what you would pay for a swap from some one who has one. You never know, most dubers are honest but there are shaddy ones. You don't Wana pay a stack and have to replace the guides and chains . Know what I mean LOL. An ABA swap wouldn't be a bad idea either. More simpler n way cheaper, they run hard with some work done to them too. Up to you bro.

1.9 TDi swap. whole swap can be done for about or less then a VR, but yield way better results in economy and performance if you smart about it.
