  • BME E46 Alloy questions RE: Tyre size

Im currently running BMW style32 alloys with following spec:

    Front - 225/40/18 (8.0j x 18)
    Rear - 255/35/18 (8.5j x 18)

i just bought a set of the 7 series wider Style 32's (with fat rubebr attached) with the following specs:

    Front - 255/45/18 (8.0j x 18)
    Rear - 285/40/18 (9.0j x 18)

test fitting the rear and they wont fit with the car being so low on the coilovers, but at same time rubber is so chunky i doubt it would sit under the arch at all as the alloys extrude the car a few mm..

what rubber size do you sugest will fit? and will they fit at all???

    Cheers

So you know where the wheel is sitting, your current tyre size and tyrestretch.com. Do work.

yes it is and im pretty skint at the moment.

you reckon i can use my previous rubber to stretch over and make it fit?

                      No.

My friend ran these on his, with a 205 front and 215 rear and they needed an arch roll if you want the height.
