  • E36 328i Which oil?

Hi, i bought a 98 BMW 328i, but I don't have any owner manual so I was wondering what type of oil should I use (5w30 for exemple)

Also, is this engine made to use synthetic oil or should I be running on mineral oil? This is because synthetic oil can be domageable for rubber joints and gaskets. Synthetic oil is always great for agressive driving but if the engine is not made to run on that I'd better not use that type of oil.

And do you have a specific oil you recommend (Castrol or Mobil for exemple)

    Thank you for your help!

This is what's recomended for your car:
      Castrol Edge Sport 0-40W
      Castrol Magnatec 5-40W

And you need 6.5 liters to your engine

        This.

And I've gone with Castrol and Mobil Synthetic only.
