  • e32 730i BMW

The "before picture", cheap-ass 16" wheels, no lowering, etc. Just a plain 1988 730i BMW nothing to see really. I just like the e32 body style so I bought one just for the hell of it. The sides are bit denty but I was going to paint it anyway so I didn't mind. It's not particularily rusted so I actually don't have to bust my ass doing prep work either, just bang up the dents and grind off the multiple layers of old paint.

Interior shot. Gray fabric, sagging and dirty.

Zimmerman e34 M5 brakes with red stuff pads.

    Some new parts to it.

Some stereo installs, just a couple of 2-ways and an soundstream amp.

Then I took the stainless lips off the wheels and sanded and painted the 20" rims.

Meanwhile I drove around looking like this.

You can easily see the front end has been painted to a different color asi it has been repaired in some point. I got 60/40 german lowering kit and 17x 8,5 and 10 RH X-Rad wheels at the time.

Then I installed KW v2 Coilovers and the 20" to it. Had to hammer the rear arches a bit though to run it lower. I got the rears adjusted to the max so I'll have to get new springs done.

Even had a brief meeting with the local law enforcement.

Next I'll paint it and lower it some more and fab up some horsepower from the engine.

I'm thinking about flat copperish or gunmetal.

I could roll 3-piece Ac Schnitser in 18" or 19" but for now I'll run the 20's for a while.

Did I mention I'm doing stuff for the interior also. I'll post progress pics as I do some.

Love me some E32, looking good. I agree though with the silver wheels looking more fitting.

Not enough E32's getting cleanly done IMO.

                              I've been busy lately doing:

                              and

I fabricated some tube headers and an exhaust tube from prebent tubes. Real PITA job, never going to do that again. Then I installed bigger fuel nozzles and next I'll mod the original motronic DTA to suit the new nozzles. I got a LC-1 wideband o2 to monitor the exhaust. Profit??

The front secondary tube needs to be modified a bit still, then I can start test driving the different softwares. I am also getting rid of the Air Flow Flapper.
