I have a photo album that I would like to create a slideshow with. Is there any simple way to just select all of the photos and PPT creates a slide for each?

I do a ton of PowerPoint stuff. I used to do even more than I do now.
That said, I've never tried to do what you're doing. I generally create the number of slides I need, then select them all, change the content type to a photo, the go about adding my photos. I put all of the pictures in one folder, then, I just drag them into the slides. There probably is a quicker way, but my minimum charge for a presentation is $350, so I have to go through everything again, so I just ensure it's the way I want it the first time. I don't rush them. I've yet to have a dissatisfied client.
I didn't rush them when I did them for free in college, either. Haha.
