  • Vip Bagged Mercedes S300 w140 build :)

    Hi there,
Some of you may know me because of my old car, the slammed golden w202, but unfortunately i was involved in a car accident (a big suv front ended me) and the car got totaled.

After that i decided to buy a different class car. So i bought a S300 w140 1998 in mint condition with beige leather interior, soft close and all sorts of cool gadgets.

    And so the build started!
The first this was to buy some wheels...after some long searches and not finding something i adore, i decided to buy a set of 20" Cast 13 wheels . These wheels are not here to stay, still looking for the perfect set!

Shortly the air ride suspension came and the work trying to get the frame layed started...

Still a lot of work has to go in the trunk

The swiches will be mounted in a custom console in the ashtray

Tests!!! the front still has to go another 2cm down and i'm trying to figure out how...

i managed to get a nice set of LED tailights

Also bought a s600 grille and a oem usa trunk lid

This is the ride height for cruising smooth, also i can drive almost slammed (only 1 cm raised from the pavement not to scrape so hard)

The to do list for the remainder of the year
Paintjob: Ruby black metallick, oem w222 colour

I still have to install the spacers, 20mm front and 30 mm rear....and the vip curtains has to arrive...
Will keep posting as i go through the process

      Nice start.

Don't those bulletproof versions weigh something like 2.5 tons?

i think it would look a little nicer to hide the compressor. if there is no room maybe hide it in a wooden crate with fake liquor bottles or something like that. if you know what I'm saying lol

have you looked at cutting out bump stops? might be the grab for that extra 2cm you need, otherwise Bilstein B8 W140 shortened shocks would be ample

fucking beautiful car dude, makes me wish I got my one!

                  I always love a W140!

Your door panels and glass do not look correct for an armored S-class. 2600kg is also very light for an armored model; most clock in somewhere around 3500-3600 kg. As far as I know, the vast majority are S600s with a smattering of S500s thrown in. I suspect what you're seeing is the W140's standard double-paned glass, which many people mistake for evidence of armoring.

you may be right but considering the standard model weighs 2060 kgs and mine is more than half a ton heavier, but again, you may be right!

shortened shocks are the way to go then brother, I know Bilstein make custom shocks for an extra price here in Australia, it may be the same there! I'm positive they sell an already shortened shock for 140s anyway

I agree. There is room both sides but more so on the left side if he decides to dump the cd changer. Its big enough to stuff 2 shoe boxes in there
