  • Another mk2 in the family - Golf content -

So i sold my daily last week

and while i'll work further on this

i bought this old lady on saturday

Golf2 CL 1,8l from 1885 in LA7V Polarsilver. Really happy with this car. got it for a good price in a pretty good condition.
This car will be my daily and wintercar as far as i cant drive the bagged mk2.

    -Plans on this one:
-Lower it with ebays finest coils
-Replace actual interior with brown interior
-body-cavity sealing and remove rust to keep the car alive for the next 3-5 winters

    Some pictures i took today

    Messy engine bay...

trunk seemed to be used a lot. scratches everywhere

ugliest seats you can get for an mk2 in my opinion. just need to find a brown interior.

    retro first aid kit lol

my wheels i saved from the polo. will definitely put them on the golf

Coils are alreay ordered and should come tomorrow with the post man.
    will keep this updated

Great car and lookking good! Are those 15" and what suspension do you have ? I used to have 15"s in my mk2 and with the jom coilover kit i couldn't get it low enough. I had the helper springs removed and it was laying on the rubber bumbp stops. And well i had more wheel gap than ground clearance D

Thanks man. Yea those are 15" bbs rz. I installed a ta technix coilover kit (the red one) and cutted half of the bumpstops off. Now the coils are maxed out but i like how it sits and im pretty happy with the height. Could go lower by removing helpers and all bumstops, but i am not interested in fucking up my daily again like the polo haha.

Hi there! Nothing really happened. I drove the mk2 like it was when i lowered it but had to lower it again 😛 cutted the bumpstops to 1cm and still got 3cm thread left..
Also bought this to have a little bit of space for lowering

                        It came like this

Had to pull the fenders lols

Aaand i just found a dude via instagram who are making this sweet decals. I absolutely love them. Giving the car a classy retro look

Sooooooo a little bit happened ot this bucket

Some weeks ago i found a nice set of seats and a full brown interior, so swapped the interior to a more classy look

while changing the carpet i realized a hole in the floor.. forgot to take a lot of pictures.. so heres just a small view on what i did

had the whole floor of rust, so i removed it all to complete blank metal...

Nooow i'm selling my actual wheels and looking for something wider like 8 and 9jx15.. Testfitted a set of wheels last week, probably enchanging with a guy with rm's .. :P
and because i already got some rm's in 9x15 i know how tight this gonna end, so i bought these

-3° Camberplates.. hope this is gonna fit
