  • State of Stance Photos!

OK so I gotta be brutally honest here, this was not too much fun. First of all, we were all under the impression there would at least be PAVED parking for everybody, not just the 40 cars that were chosen to be "better" than everybody else's (and there wasn't even enough parking for them.) So, not only was my car parked in the grass, it was buried behind about 20 RSX's. Parking in the grass ended up causing some damage to my car because I'm so low (and I'm sure I'm not the only one) so that kinda sucked too.

Then on top of all that, MOST of the cars there weren't Stanced. It was like Hot Import Nights. Lots of sunken Hondas with their hoods open, wheel gap for days, lots of stocks, a scion with flames on it, and some pick-up trucks with dope azz systemz. I know that's not the organizer's fault because they only had like 150 registered (and stanced) cars and there ended up being over 400 (not pre-screened) cars in attendance.

I'm sure alot of the nicer cars were buried in the huge field among all the garbage and it was just too hot to try and find them to take pictures.

So that was my experience and these are my shots from today...

Ran into this on the way there

And this awesome rusty c-rex too (this was my fave shot of the day lol)

And then we arrived. This car was parked RIGHT IN FRONT and was the very first car you saw when you pulled in. A sign of things to come.....

Awesome pictures man, wish I could have made it down. It looks like a lot of really nice cars came out. And good idea to have it in South Florida cause Orlando's been shitty all weekend.

The quality was great! Sucks you had to park in the grass, so did most of us.

I have seen pics of that teg before. It is truly the lowest teg out there, and so hot.

Looks like it was an awesome event.

Dude, your MINI is so sick. That was one of my favorite cars there and it wasn't even part of the 40. Thanks for the pic of my Sentra.

I must say that I was very happy that there were shade trees in the parking lot. Shade plus the lovely south Florida breeze. If there had not been shade, it would have been miserable. As far as the orgaization goes, I don't think they were prepared for the turnout. I could not believe the amount of cars and people that showed up. It just goes to show that people are craving stance. I had a good time all and all.

                          Thanks again for posting pics.

on a side note, about the parking... I know the venue wasnt top notch. and we did try out best to weed out the non stanced cars...

at one point we had a plan... but when we had reached our intended capacity, and still had close to 200 cars outside, we said fuck that and try to fit them in any way possible. I personally think the show was a huge success for South Florida and really hope it brings life back down to the stance scene in SO FLA.

all in all, Leo, myself, and the rest of the SOS team want to thank everyone who made it out today. thank you for attending and making it a huge success..

seen a lot of dope ass cars out there, i was really happy with the variety, i know a lot of cars weren't "stanced" including mine but i think the organizers got overwhelmed by the huge turnout, i liked that there was a lot of cars, i even went to the "overflow-spectator parking" ara to see some really nice cars , and the best part was that it was free and pretty much open invite....that made it cool. however there were those random totally clueless "my friend said there was a car show today so i came" guys with the out of place cars but who knows, maybe next year they'll have stanced car to bring....
